Why Time is Gold Or Is It?

If you've been watching Eat Bulaga's segment Bawal Judgmental, you might often hear from the guests as they introduce themselves: I believe in the saying that time is gold. Then, people laugh. :-)

Is time really gold?

I was browsing my stuff, then I saw this – something I wrote for a home page earlier in 2008, or perhaps earlier.

Value time. When you lose it, you can never bring it back. When it passes, it is gone forever.

Think now! Decide now! ACT now!

There will always be a difference between yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

But the best time is NOW!

Paradigm shifts. So, let me add this concept about time.

There's no such thing as time. Time was invented by humans to measure your length of stay doing something or nothing. Your age is simply a measure of how many times the earth has revolved around the sun since you were born. It has nothing to do with your body. If you are timeless, you are ageless.

Life is easier if you forget about the past, and worry not for the future. The only time is now!

You have done things in the past that you regret up to this point. There's nothing you can do about it to repair it. What's done is done. You have suffered the consequences and that is enough. Time to stop punishing yourself.

If people have judged you because of your past, they are not your friends. Get new ones. There are millions of people in the globe.

Do not buy things that you think you may use in the future. They will just use spaces in your house, rotting in your storage in time. Only buy what you can use now. 

Does it mean that you do not have to save your money for the future? Spend your money now. It helps the economy. But spend it wisely. If you don't need it, don't buy it. The money that you don't spend, that is your savings. If nothing is left for the day, it means that you have to work harder. What makes you poor is because you keep buying things that you don't need.

When the need arises, money will come to you. Your universe knows what you need and it provides for it even before you ask.
